20/04/2018

So I was stuck for a little while... I felt like I was stuck between 50 pounds and 4 stone for ages! its been just shy of a month but it feels like forever! But I am there! This card shows my progress from the beginning to now, there has been a couple of weeks where I haven't been there or it hasn't been on so this should technically have lasted me the 6 months but here it is (I get a new card next week!) My points at the top have also came down over time we just haven't updated it....

I said when I started I wasn't going to lie on the blog or just write about the good times because even though most the time it has been a loss some weeks it was on. Let's ignore the Christmas week for a moment, because you know, its Christmas... The rest of the time was a loss except there was another two weeks I gained plus one week I stayed the same.

The losses range from six pounds to one pound.

So I think this is a victory week! What I have lost in just under seven months is pretty fantastic and I want to keep going! I would love to get to the end of this year and reach goal, that would be fantastic but I want to keep going!

Right now, I don't feel huge, I don't feel tiny but I don't feel huge and I feel like I could make it to an ideal weight.

I'm in a different place to where I was last year. At the end September last year (22nd) I hadn't yet started any sort of physical activity, I was worried I would start and then my eating would go out of control (Which has happened before) So those first three months I didn't, but after Christmas I started walking I started really low at 5,000 a day but worked myself up, my goal is 12,000 steps a day which I normally hit 14,000. As of the beginning of this month I started going to two exercise classes, Pilates and Aqua Aerobics.

If I miss a day, I'm not too hard on myself, if I don't make it to the classes, well I can't, I have two children and I can't just fob them off to other people when I fancy doing something. Phil is fantastic, it was his idea for me to go to classes and the Pilates on a Monday night is after the kids go to bed, so we all go in the car, Phil drops me off in and then takes the kids home and gets them to bed on time. The Aqua Aerobics, if there was more of and at a good time for me I think I would go to more of those, they are fun and it gives me the excuse for a quick swim too (which despite the fact I take Joseph to his swimming lessons and Yasmine to hers I don't get to swim that much!) I'm building that up to, I started with 100 meters and I'm at 250 meters (Which I do before/after my lesson) and again I'm increasing this gradually. Well I've been doing this all gradually!

I hated the idea of going to the gym, I still do actually but maybe its something I can gradually do eventually, but I do have Joseph so I won't be doing it any time soon.

I know I've come a long way, but I've still got a long way to go!

Keep you updated!

Wish me luck!

Bakes

I'm not really egging on Weight Watchers products (although I am!) But can you believe all these treats are 5SP or under and are found in the Bakes Cookbook (I've only just got the book! Some were in the weightwatchers magazine before I got the book!) I'll pop the full recipes on later!
So the bottom picture, you can see Rocky road bites Oaty Chocolate biscuits and Apple and Cinnamon 'mandala' each one to recipe the Oaty biscuits are 3 SP per one and the other two are two per one.

5 SP per slice (ten servings in one cake)
This one is my favourite! chocolate cake, well dark chocolate cake! I really really love dark Chocolate, Others have said they can taste the surprising savoury element of the cake but you can't, My kids both love it I've done it three times....

Can you guess the surprise ingredient?

              Black Beans!!!

3SP per slice

rocky road 2sp, oaty biscuits 3sp and Apple and cinnamon 'maldala' 2sp

And this one! white chocolate blondie, for 3 SP per a slice, again it is beautiful! these bakes are just amazing! Secret ingredient... Oh yes! Chickpeas!

06/04/18

So there was no weigh in last week (hense why there was no post) but this week its good!

Well the whole week was hard, I didn't gorge exactly, but I did have a good Easter Sunday points wise, well I ate like five bits of weight watchers cake which granted was probably not as bad as I thought it would be, but inside my head it was hard, I stuck to my daily points and that was it! I wouldn't care but either side of Easter Sunday I was fine its just I really ate!

But today in weightwatchers we talked about changing our mindset, if we do have a bad day not just saying 'well I ate this so...' and then eating everything in sight, but about accepting it and moving on and sticking with it and I knew I was already doing it.

Its hard, I won't lie and over the past couple of weeks I probably could have lost more then I did but certainly I'm not ashamed of what I lost...

Today as well, I wanted to talk about extra things I've been doing. People are asking how are you doing this? How are you loosing weight all the time.

Well honestly to begin with I literally only did the weight loss for a while, I only did the smart point counting because I wanted to get the hang of it, and as well allow my body the time to adjust to doing normal activities on a lower calorie intake (because at the end of the day I am). Come the new year I was asking my lovely husband for a fitbit and ever since I've been walking it off. Now, don't get me wrong, I've upped my walking to 12,000 steps a day (this is five miles for my tiny little legs) I'll be honest, in the holidays I don't do all these steps and when we go back to school its always hard to get back up to the right amount! But I do try to do it.

Phil also asked me if I wanted to take some classes on a night time at the local fitness centre, just int the last couple of weeks. Normally my mother in law has Joseph on a Thursday so I doing Aqua Aerobics which I've been to twice, I'm really enjoying that, I also took myself off for a swim afterwards not for long only 200 meters but if I carry on just doing one more length each time it should build up! On a Monday night (7-8 so the kids are in bed) I decided on Pilates. I've only had one lesson of this just because it was off on Bank Holiday Monday so I'm looking forward to doing that again!

It a lot now, and its a lot in a short space of time. But I have been working up to it, I started with walking 4,000 steps then added on.

As well I've been adding all the time to my weight watchers recipes, I think this is important because eating and tasting.... if it doesn't taste good, I won't eat it! (and I will add them on here!)

Its one heck of a ride!

Weight loss this week:-3 1/2lbs
